How to use the crore converter

  1. Enter a nonnegative amount, such as 1, 2.5 or 125.
  2. Choose the starting unit: full number, lakhs, millions, crores, billions or trillions.
  3. Select Convert. The results show the same amount in every supported unit.

For example, 2.5 crore becomes 25 million, 0.025 billion and 250 lakh. To reverse the calculation, enter 25 and choose Millions; the result in Crores is 2.5.

The tool accepts up to 60 digits before the decimal point and 20 after it. Enter digits with a decimal point, without commas or E notation. Negative amounts are not supported. Calculations shift decimal places using integer arithmetic, so results do not use ordinary floating-point rounding.

The starting-unit selector also makes this a million to crore converter, billion to crore converter, trillion to crore converter and lakh to crore converter. Use the same tool rather than changing pages for each direction.

Million to crore

Divide millions by 10.
25 million = 2.5 crore.

Billion to crore

Multiply billions by 100.
1 billion = 100 crore.

Trillion to crore

Multiply trillions by 100,000.
1 trillion = 100,000 crore.

Lakh to crore

Divide lakhs by 100.
100 lakh = 1 crore.

Million, billion and trillion conversions

You can also convert without using crores. One billion is 1,000 million; one trillion is 1,000 billion or 1,000,000 million. Select Millions, Billions or Trillions as the starting unit to calculate any supported nonnegative decimal amount.

This calculator uses the modern English short scale. A lakh is 100,000 and a crore is 10,000,000. Changing number units does not change a currency: 1 crore rupees equals 10 million rupees, but this tool does not convert rupees to dollars or apply exchange rates.
